Save your Safeway Faberware stamps for the DESC!

Posted on 16. Nov, 2016 by in Community Service

If you shop at Safeway, and you aren’t collecting Farberware stamps for your own needs, please consider collecting them for homeless clients at the DESC!

For every 50 stamps, we can get a sauce pan for our move in kits, which provide household goods for our new residents. Just think- if 100 people spent $500 on groceries in the next 7 weeks, we would have 50 new pans for our new residents! Now imagine if you ask your neighbors, family and friends to do it too!

What to do: Be sure to ask for your stamps every time you shop at Safeway. You receive 1 stamp for every $10 you spend. Put those stamps in a safe place, and add to them each time you shop. Thanksgiving? Lots of stamps! Other holiday meals? Even more!

Safeway stops giving out stamps January 3rd, and I have until January 17th to turn them all in. So on January 1st or so, just put the stamps in an envelope and send to:

Don Rupp, DESC Fund Development
515 3rd Ave
Seattle WA  98104

Some of our volunteers will put the stamps in the books and turn them in for new, high quality pots and pans.
