Every May is Oncology Nursing Month, and this year we were thrilled to celebrate our incredible members who embody the theme “Empowering Hope, Transforming Care.” Our month was packed with events to show our appreciation, and here are a few highlights!
Nurse Appreciation Night at the Ballpark!
For National Nurses’ Week, PSONS hosted a fun-filled Nurse Appreciation Night at the exciting Mariners vs. Royals game on May 14th! PSONS treated 50 members and friends to an evening of cheering and camaraderie. It was a fantastic opportunity for oncology nurses from across the region to connect outside the hospital setting. Three lucky attendees even walked away with amazing prizes: two regular-season Mariners tickets and two $25 Amazon gift cards!
Learning and Winning at Education Night!
Our May Education Night offered a chance to learn and grow! This year’s topic was “What I Learned from the 2024 ONS Congress.” Attendees not only gained valuable insights but also had the chance to win! Two lucky participants received $50 Amazon gift cards through our raffle.
2024 Spring Scholarships Available!
To wrap up Oncology Nursing Month, we’re excited to announce that applications for our 2024 Spring Scholarships are now open! Scholarships are available to support our members’ continued professional development. Applications are being accepted until June 18th, 2024.
