PSONS Community Service Day at the DESC

8:00AM - 12:00PM

YOU ARE INVITED! Join us at the DESC Warehouse as we share time together and sort through donations.

This is our semi-annual day of service with DESC. Bring your friends and family. Great way for high school students to get community service hours. Bring your creativity to this event! We will be making some of the 3000 holiday cards DESC needs this year, in addition to our traditional activity of sorting and organizing donations. PSONS Nurses and Industry, Family, and Friends are welcome to attend. Please share this with your friends within PSONS as we’d love to have them join us.

Healing In Creative Community: A Retreat for PSONS Nurses

8:30AM - 12:30PM

Oncology nurses carry untold stories—from patients, colleagues, and the quiet spaces within themselves.
This spring, PSONS invites you to step away from the clinical “doing” and enter a space of intentional “being.” We know the weight you carry, and we believe your wholeness matters.

This isn’t a typical nursing conference. Think of this as a heart-centered sanctuary—a soft landing for your spirit and a sacred pause from the pace and pressures of care work. Guided by facilitators from Introspective Spaces, we will gather in community to explore practices that help us soften, remember our wholeness, and reconnect to meaning in our work and lives.

What to Expect
Through guided grounding, storytelling, expressive art-making, and gentle movement, we will make space for the untold stories we carry. Our time together is designed to help us:

  • Navigate Moral Distress: Reflect on personal experiences and honor the emotional landscape of oncology care.
  • Cultivate Resilience: Learn restorative techniques to support your long-term well-being.
  • Process through Creativity: Use expressive media to transform unspoken stress and grief into meaningful art.
  • Imagine the Future: Explore strategies for systemic change, addressing burnout and implicit bias with a renewed perspective.

  • When: Saturday, April 11, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Where: Kaiser Renton Facility – Rainier Building | 2715 Naches Ave SW, Renton WA 98057

Registration & Refund Policy

Investment in Your Well-being To provide a high-quality, restorative experience while keeping this retreat accessible, PSONS is utilizing a Commitment Deposit system. Because space is limited to 50 participants, this ensures every seat is filled and our resources are used intentionally.

The Deposit Structure All registrants pay a $75 commitment deposit at the time of registration. Following your in-person attendance at the retreat, a portion of this will be refunded:

  • PSONS Members: You will receive a $50 refund (Final cost: $25)
  • Non-PSONS Members: You will receive a $25 refund (Final cost: $50)

Important Policies

  • Attendance Required: Refunds will only be processed for those who attend the retreat in person on April 11.
  • Processing Time: Refunds will be initiated via Cvent within 7–10 business days following the event.
  • Cancellation Deadline: To receive a full refund of your $75 deposit, cancellations must be made by Friday, April 3rd. This allows us enough time to offer your spot to a colleague on the waitlist.
  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made after April 3rd, or failure to attend the event, will result in a forfeited deposit to cover the cost of committed materials and catering.
